Multiple Postdoc Positions Available

Our research group at Singapore Management University has three postdoc positions available and would like to invite all interested candidates for application. One of the positions is on a project aiming at analysing AI-based software systems (e.g. neural networks trained for image recognition or NLP models for sentimental analysis). Another is on a project related to testing and analysis of blockchain-based systems, including smart contracts. The last one is related to analysing more traditional systems like cyber-physical systems and various compilers.

Our research group has a track record of publishing at top conferences and journals in multiple areas, including software engineering (ICSE, FSE, ASE, and ISSTA), formal methods (CAV, TACAS, and FM) and security (S&P and NDSS). The candidates are expected to solve interesting research problems and publish at top conferences. Multiple researchers from the group have successfully become tenure-track faculty members at top universities (including Oxford University, Nanyang Technological University and The University of Queensland).

The postdocs will work with existing researchers in the group as well as interact with researchers in multiple research centres in Singapore. Once hired, the candidate will have the opportunity to travel overseas to collaborate with partners of the projects.

The working language is English. The general requirements on the candidate are:

– A PhD in Computer Science or related areas

– Strong background in either logic, programming or analytics

– An established research record

– Proficiency in programming is highly valued

The term is from one to three years. The salary range is SGD 80K – 100K per annual. Singapore’s tax is around 3%-5% of the annual salary. Interested candidates should contact Jun Sun (junsun@smu.edu.sg) for more information. Applicants will be reviewed on first-come-first-serve basis.
